Hiring VIPs saves you a lot of extra work and gives you great benefits. Brenda White helps you make 5 times more con cash from food booths. Dawn Jones halves the amount of trash you’d normally have to empty. Tiffany Giselle allows attendees to go to the toilets less often. Jack Moore gives you extra rewards, makes the staff work faster, and he gives you a free golden con bag. Stutter Dawes protects you from Puke Boy and Alien Fighting Monsters and Nudy Judy and protects your con from outside disturbances so you can get things done in peace! You still have to fix toilets and empty trash, but that’s easy enough.

Everyone has their own way of doing things, but I hire most VIPs steadily every time I enter the game. They are a huge help. Since we can only hire 4 VIPs at once, Jack Moore (the most expensive at 25 comics) ends up being more of an occasional treat for my congoers.

Great tip, KCAT! I, too, hire Brenda and Dawn steadily. I also check to make sure Brenda is in place whenever I open my game, before collecting from my food booths. Her 5X food sales buff makes quite a difference!

Yes, I have one booth that I can use for either Jack or Stutter, since they stay so briefly. For anyone thinking of spending 25 Comix for a Gold Con Bag: if you have an empty VIP Booth, spend the Comix on Jack. You’ll get the Gold Con Bag as well as all the benefits KCAT listed above.

I removed my fourth booth at some point so I’d have space to move around my theme booths. Because Tiffany stays for something like 24 hours, and I often get a Mission to solve issues, I haven’t replaced her booth. I do go through a lot of temps to fix the toilets, but it helps when I need to solve a lot of issues to complete a Mission. 🙂

Thanks, KCAT! Yes, I’m loving the game! I’m so glad PJ set this up so we can all compare notes and enjoy the game together!!

Hiring Jack is way better than any of the gold bag purchases. Even the 5 gold bags for 100 comix, hiring Jack 4 times is better, if you do wti when you have a lot of booths to harvest.

I also hire Stutter when I’ve just expanded. I never have enough time in peace to move my con around before I’m attacked by aliens or Puke Boy!

I was wondering if hiring Jack cuts down on his surprise visits? I don’t hire him very often, and I’m up to 423 visits towards the 500 I need for the Brownish Coat.

I got my Brownish Coat, and am now hiring Jack regularly when I first open the game and have a lot of booths to harvest. Thanks for the great tip, Jun!! I almost always get my 25 Comix back, plus all the extras!

Speaking of Jack, does something special happen when Jack Moore visits as a surprise?? I’ve never noticed anything in particular happening, though I could also have just been too busy restocking everything if it was something subtle (I’ve generally got a maxed or almost maxed con… except for now as I’m climbing back to 270 for my next expansion…)

      Hi Demonpoofball,

So far, I’ve only seen Jack Moore grace my con with a few seconds of his glorious presence, and then get beamed up. To where he beams, I know not. (Convention Heaven? That Green Room in the sky? His own private starship?) I do make sure he has a security guard by his side each time. Other than that, I haven’t seen him do anything Moore. (Ha!) Maybe the Powers That Be have further plans for him, but we shall see. 🙂

I flipped past a Karen tip too quick once (since most are usually “yeah, duh, I’m maxed…”) and it was something about a Rey party when Jack was there… I held my party off until I got the “dink” of a Jack visit once, started the party then escorted him, but I don’t know. And, apparently his visits last longer now that I’ve got a browncoat? No idea…

      Hi Demonpoofball!

I think Jack’s visits are similar to Wray’s parties, although unfortunately he doesn’t attract a crowd. If there are any con-goers around, they’ll take selfies and you’ll get XP. I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten con cash in the past as well, if there were a lot of con-goers around. I’m thinking of moving one of my VIP booths to the area where he arrives, and see if more con-goers in the area results in more rewards. I’ve also noticed that when he beams up, his post to the Crowd Feed will completely restore Convention Hype.

I’ve seen Karen’s tip, too, but I think it’s character driven rather than game driven (who wouldn’t want Jack Moore to show up at a party hosted by Wray?) 🙂 Nothing special seems to happen.

I’ve never seen much happen when Jack visits other than happiness is boosted and you get some XP. Plus it helps you earn he various levels of brown coats in the office, and sometimes there are quests to escort the VIP.

I moved Wray’s booth to where Jack enters for his surprise visits, figuring a Wray Wray Party would draw more people to the area and I’d get more rewards from people taking selfies with Jack…but Jack and Bob decided to have a cuddle against the wall for his entire visit. The people at the booths behind them seemed amused.
Jack and Bob keep to themselved during a suprise visit

PS, how did you upload your photos, Demonpoofball?

I added them to Imgur and then pasted over the links.
I bet things would get pretty crazy if you put his booth there as I’ve now noticed that the XPs and such start flying when he nears a crowd. i was going to try the party again yesterday, but the three times he showed up while I was playing yesterday, they also cuddled along the wall. 😛

You might have to try a version and then edit it and try another until the image shows up. 🙂 (I think I finally got it on the 3rd try when I did it 😛 ) Though, if you “open image in new tab” you can still see that Jack is, uh, pretty satisfied with his visit I guess. 😀

When you click on Jack Moore in the VIPs section, on the right hand side it explains what he does:

      Bonus Effect:

More extra rewards, the staff works faster and you get a free golden con bag from Jack. 🙂
