I just read Book One of The Softwire by PJ Haarsma yesterday, and am on to Book Two. Loving the story and the characters! For those who don’t know, Spectum, which is the show within the show Con Man the Series, is set in the world of the Softwire Books. There will be 4 Spectrum Comic books (two are already out), as well as a Spectrum novel. The novel will take place after the Softwire books, following one of the character’s new adventures, so there are no spoilers to worry about if you read The Softwire first. I had heard that the aliens in the game are from Spectrum. Hoping some are mentioned in The Softwire.

There are four books so far in The Softwire series, and they are great! Alan Tudyk and PJ Haarsma co-wrote Spectrum comics that tie into The Softwire book series as well. There’s also a Spectrum novel in the works. I’m looking forward to everything these guys do! 😄

Finished Book 4 of The Softwire series and was looking online for a forum to discuss it, when I discovered that Nathan Fillion recorded the first three chapters of Book 1 as an incentive for the publishers to produce an audio book version of the series. I did some searching and found Chapter One at this crazy site of audio clips associated with Nathan Fillion. The Softwire reading is #11 on the list: http://en.muzlan.ru/search/Nathan+Fillion
Hope it’s okay to post this here, PJ!
I love the book series! There was so much character development (as well as action and adventure) that I’m looking forward to re-reading it with the added foresight!

I’m so glad you liked the book! Yes, that is fine to post. There is also a link somewhere of Alan reading a chapter from Book 2. My writing brain and my producing brain are two different parts of me – hard to get both to work at the same time. Hoping for some space to get writing again. The four Spectrum books will follow Ketheria, while the next four Softwire books follow JT – they all eventually collide on Earth for an epic battle against the Knull.
