Just saw the new update! I’m downloading it now. What do you all think of it?

Okay, question: what is this special offer? I see this screen, but it has no ‘cost’ Does that mean that it is an update gift? I apparently got the red hat, but I don’t know what it is. It’s not in the collectibles in the office. What’s it for?
Also, is there a way to get rid of the annoying ‘special offer’ image on the main screen? It’s really frustrating to keep seeing that!

I’ve seen the hat in the offer, and I now want that stupid red cowboy hat like you wouldn’t believe… 😛 Anybody figure out how to get it yet? I’ve got about 23 hours left…
Also, my “Special Offer” thing went away at some point. No idea where it went… which means I don’t know how I’ll get my red cowboy hat!!! 🙁 😛
btw, good thing I was waiting to pass $10 million today before upgrading to the 290 comix expansion as it got a LOT cheaper!
Otherwise, the Missions are going much faster now. And they’ve dropped the IQ on some congoers as I had a couple die on me in an aisle nobody’s has a problem with for at least a week… Aliens are still annoying but seem to die a little quicker. It’d be nice if they’d toss all 8 pills out when the dude comes in barfing. Also, I’m not getting a notification now for pests, I get the “tink” sound, but no notice (fortunately I was watching for “issues” to clear up for a mission!)
Now where’s my red cowboy hat that I never knew I needed??? 😉

I get a notification for the vermin, but it seems like they’re taking longer to come. They only seem to show up once before I get to the minute mark (and can speed up the cleanup for free).
The expansions got cheaper? Now I feel gypped because I bought them all weeks ago… 🙁
I got a screen saying that I had the red hat, but I can’t find it. I don’t know what it’s for. No one seems to be wearing it, and it’s not in the office.
Ah well, at least I’m ready for the big expansion… the one PJ said would have multiple floors: one for each theme! Just waiting on that. Until then, I have nothing to do but collect $$$ and comix.
Also, why does Jack Moore look so evil on the new app icon? It’s kind of creepy, actually…

So I got another ‘special offer’ after my first one had expired. Am I doomed to see this annoying icon blocking my view of my con? That’s some important real estate!

I got the offer to buy Comix at a discount just now… and it’s still there staring at me… and got in the way while I was trying to force hats on people. 😛 I wanted the red hat though!! 🙁
I’m getting my vermin warnings now, but noticed I only notice I have Concrud when a plethora of exclamation marks show up almost all at once. Actually, Wray lost his driver a couple times w/out notice (I noticed as the exclamation mark went bopping across the bottom of the screen). I like to get to him really fast as “his driver” is usually really close when he loses him right away
The multi-floor thing sounds interesting, but I’m wondering how long I’d spend just restocking when I opened up the game based on how long it takes now! 😀

Yeah, that’s the ‘special offer’ I got too. I’m on my third one and the second two were both discounted Comix offers. It’s very frustrating seeing that banner blocking my view and making me scroll more. I already scroll a lot because the zoom out is minimal. Maybe we could have the splash screen when we login to the game, but then the banner isn’t there? Or relocate the banner to the top next to the (or over the) Comix icon that tells us now many Comix we have?
PJ’s been discussing this multi-level idea for a while. It makes sense to expand the con to other floors, since the main floor so so big that it’s almost unmanageable. Since I’m fully expanded on the main floor, I’m just waiting for that update, stocking up Comix and cash.
I had the same thing with Con Crud yesterday too… I only got the message when there were already puke puddles everywhere. Interestingly, this morning it happened and I used Wray’s party to get rid of him, and the puke puddles disappeared too!

And I just realized this morning hat I hadn’t seen any notifications for the tooth fairy. Have they stopped doing videos?

I haven’t seen him wandering around anywhere, so I’m thinking he’s gone. And replaced with more damn barfing kids… I swear, yesterday I literally hit the 8th pill and he showed up again… (I’ve never bought any Comix, so mine are precious… well, since the 1st set of expansions— prior I always kept them below 300 as I lost 20 one time when I had gotten 320, so it worried me that it might randomly delete over that… *then* I’d just tell him to shove it and toss him out with Comix 😛 ). He’s just so annoying as I have to completely stop everything I’m doing as it takes a while to scan back and forth looking for those things, and if I do anything else, time runs out… Gah!
I’ve probably got 1 or 2 more expansions available, so every Comix counts still!

I never spend Comix to get rid of tasks either. You’re right that they’re too valuable, especially since the expansions started costing Comix.
Actually… sometimes i just ignore Puke Boy and let him whine. His puke puddles are easy XP (earn over 1000 XP for a few seconds of work, if you speed up the cleanup) so I’ll just have Joss Whedon cleaning up puke the entire time. Yeah, the attendees are a little unhappy, but as soon as Puke Boy goes away, they get happy in a hurry. You can pop the XP from some superfans if you need to do so to get everyone hyped again. Heck, my con is so big that even if I’m looking for the pills, half the time I don’t find them all before the timer runs out anyway.
Do you have a lot of cash? If you want more Comix, buy 5 blue bags for $20,000. You will get an average of 2-3 Comix every time you do this, plus you’ll earn $3,000-$12,000 of your cash back. That’s where about half of my stash came from. 😉

Oh yeah— I was doing that bag buy for quite a while. 😛 I only get $350-500k per full restock right now (I’ve added a lot since I last checked…), so I’ll need to hire the gal to beef up my reserves with all my food stands as I’m only in the $3mil range at the moment due to all the expansions. I also have all my used fish stands placed around bag multipliers, so I get quite a few bags just from restocking them all the time. The very last giant fantasy booth took *forever* for me to get, and I’d just sit there buying 5 blue bags at a time for periods of time, tap-tap-tapping away…
Speaking of, supposedly some of the decor will multiply sales, but I’ve noticed that I get the same amount from my booths if they’re surrounded by a bunch (and they even say so in their info) as I do when there’s not a bunch around them…
I should just ignore Puke Boy. My attendees randomly complain about lesser things, so let ’em whine. 😀 (I really shouldn’t work in any form of customer services anymore 😛 ). I wish I could ignore the aliens too… I don’t necessarily want to hire Stutter as I need streakers for Missions and you don’t usually get deliveries or visits when he’s there…
Right now my biggest challenge is that I got 4 more of the giant theme stands going, but I’ve decided I actually want one of them on the opposite corner… I’m not sure I’m going to be able to find 3-4 spaces I can make room to get it over there though since I can’t zoom out near enough…

Yeah, now that you mention it, I’ve never noticed the attraction buffs and greater % return items actually doing anything.
I like the idea of having small vending machines just to get more taps/more bags! I use them to quickly finish the ‘restock XXX number of booths’ quests.
Yeah, I complained about not being able to move stuff across the con for a long time on this board when I first found it. Eventually, I just held off and did my last 2 expansions together, then used the new space to move things. Now everything is set, so there’s not much to move. Although I do sometimes build those pathetic little garbage cans (and then delete them ) for the ‘build XXX booths’ missions)

Ooh, garbage cans… those would be cheap… I’ve always had enough money that I just replaced rows of my used fish stands in the past. 😛 I finally maxed out tonight. Now to try and plan out that last chunk of space before I won’t be able to move anything! I’ve got 2 sets of each size theme booth, so they can stop bitching about that now (not that they will, the whiners 😉 )
Definitely still some random bugs. Like last night I never got a single notice— I’d hear the “tink” but not one message ever popped up! And tonight they did… Ah well, it certainly isn’t remotely as buggy as it could be!

Hey everyone! I’ve been playing the Facebook version just for fun while I wait for the next upgrade. I’m pretty maxed out on my main game, so it’s been fun to start over and use some of my knowledge to build again.
About the lost notifications, I noticed a while ago (and submitted a report) that if I went to the office, I would lose notifications when I returned. I now wait to go to the office until I’m about ready to close out of the game. The Facebook version has a great Refresh button, though, so if I get a glitch, I can just click on that and resume play. I’m hoping they’ll incorporate that into the Android/IOS versions, as well as just fix the office visit glitch.
Also, is anyone else having an issue with Temp Promo Staff not completing their final task? I’ll hire them for a mission, but the last task is never counted and I have to send Bobbie out again. I’ve submitted that issue, too.
I managed to buy the Cowboy Hat on my phone. It just sits there in the office, not sure if there’s a buff.
I use the trash cans, too, when I need to build booths for a mission but don’t need any more booths. Sometimes the reward is $4,000, so I actually make $1,000 on it.
And I agree they should move the Limited Offer icon out of the way! I haven’t submitted feedback in a while, I should do so and mention that.

My Temp Promo guys haven’t had their final survey counted in quite some time…
Regarding notifications, I get them randomly— as in random times I’m playing. Like earlier, I got notifications. Yesterday? Nada…
I’m so bummed I couldn’t get the red cowboy hat!! That was the only time I’ve seen the promo (I’ve got the Comix promo taking up that chunk of screen again right now). I kept trying that first time and nothing seemed to work.
Something I noticed is that the ghost of the Tooth Fairy apparently is roaming the convention. I was going around restocking and ended up at the “help me rebuild my village” screen (minus a visible Tooth Fairy or actual prize). It plays an ad, but kinda freaks when it’s done as there’s no prize to reward. It’s happened twice now (the 2nd time, earlier tonight), and I have no idea how… except that I apparently clicked on his ghost!
Can’t do the FB version as the thing it’s on is apparently Windows only…

I couldn’t get the update even though I was supposedly a beta tester so I reinstalled the tester link and got the update with the cowboy hat offer. I used to use comix on Con Crud, but my con is so big now, I just let him wander around till he disappears. He doesn’t affect my con hype that much. Wayne’s parties do get rid of him, but not the puke puddles. Here’s something you all might know already. Restock all your booths at night before you go to sleep and hire Brenda. By morning all the booths will be maxed out and here’s the tip:
Hire Jack Moore before you click them. Ignore all rodents, con crud and alien attacks till his contract expires as you restock as many booths as you can before that happens. You will get between 5-15 Gold con bags during that time for the price of 1 Gold Bag.
Question: Has anybody gotten any autographed figures from the set of 6. I have over 150 used and mint ones but not 1 single autographed figure. Is it just me? -

One more thing. When Jack Moore shows up at your con does he move? I’ve noticed that 90% of the time he just stands by the wall till time runs out. And if he does move he almost always moves away from the largest crowd.

Jack Moore wanders a bit for me, not all that far, but a bit. He pretty much always comes in from that side area. Sometimes he does hang out against the wall with the security guy… they’re both apparently happy about it. 😛 I moved Wray’s booth over there to see what happens when Jack actually wanders past it, and if you can get people there, it’s pretty impressive with the explosion of XP’s and $, but nobody likes to visit him over on the side, especially with my Con being so big now. 😛
I can get all three of my promo folks to do a survey at the same time— just not if the Temp guys are on their final task… (you apparently have to actually be able to click that checkmark, and on a Temp’s final task’s end, they just evaporate)
And it appears that the Tooth Fairy has crossed back over into this dimension with the latest update. 😀
