I built these forums myself and added them to the site. They feel a little clunky with this theme but they do the job. I worry that the background, although fun to look at, is a little distracting, but plain white is boring. Maybe if I reduce the opacity and make the image fainter? Thoughts?

All right, I changed it to a lighter background. I couldn’t take it.

Did you try the custom avatar yet? I added it to the bottom of your profile. Access it from the little comic bubble at the top right of the menu.

Went to Profile, clicked on Avatar section, then on Gravitar “More Information” and was taken to a page titled “Codex”. One of the paragraphs in about the middle of the page is titled: “Using Gravitars On Your Site”. It gives the option of opening a Gravitar account. I did that, and appeared to succeed in uploading a picture for said account. However, it didn’t show up here, so not sure what to do. Tried logging in and out.

Speaking of the little comic bubble at the top right of the menu to connect with the forums, would it be possible to add a “button” in the drop-down menu there that would take us straight to the forums? So far I have had to click on the “Forums Search” button to find a way in. Thanks!

Hover over GAME in the top menu, a pop up menu appears and then select GAME FORUMS. Glad the avatar worked. You selected GRAVATAR which is for Word press logins. That will work for most WordPress accounts you sign up to, but there should have been an option to just upload your own and not select gravatar and avoid the secondary sign up. (Whew that was a lot)

Marisa! Hello lovely lady! Thank you!💐
Thank you and PJ for the info. I did as instructed to find the Game Forums “button” and it worked.😃
I’m sorry I could not/cannot find the option you mentioned regarding the avatar. I’ve hovered over it, clicked on it, yelled at it, and still nothing. (*sigh*)😞

When I registered, it just took my Gravatar/WordPress avatar… which is fine, that’s how I’m known online.

I kind of like the little hairy heart spider thing that showed up for my avatar 😛

Hey, PJ! How much trouble would it be to add some kind of “Like” button for posts here in the forum? I’d love to be able to acknowledge someone’s post without commenting, so that people scrolling won’t have to sort through all the thank yous and acknowledgements when looking for information.
Also, I like the Tag element, but I don’t see where to do a search for Tag categories. The search box at the top of each forum page directs me to other posts to the site, not within the forum. If you can’t do a “Like” button, we can just make sure we don’t add any Tags to our acknowledgements so they won’t show up in a search.
Thanks!!

Thanks for the ideas. I will check and see if this forum package has those features.
